Overlooking the Baia del Silenzio (Bay of Silence)
During the renovation of the house in the 1960s, work was also done on the garden that surrounds it, overlooking one of the most beautiful bays in Italy.
Bouganvillea and Eugenia, agapanthus and Allium, citrus fruits and roses, helichrysum and convolvulus, the plantations included all the plants that bring to mind our Italian seaside, favoring late spring blooms and summer, when the house is lived in more. The garden is divided into two separate and terraced parts, and on the lowest level there is a swimming pool in which the water has the natural blue color of the sea below.
For the flat part, instead of the traditional lawn, so unsuitable for our coasts and so not eco-sustainable, the green carpet was created with Lippia repens, also known as Phyla nodoflora em>, a very low ground cover that tolerates normal trampling and which, unlike the lawn, does not need to be mowed or irrigated.
