Restoration of a 1920s garden and landscaping of newly acquired adjacent land.
From the meeting between landscape and local traditions, a new forest arises at a thousand meters above sea level that dialogues with the past, in the present: to the redevelopment of the coniferous forest of the garden designed by Giovanni Greppi in 1926, new plantations are added in the newly acquired land, for a total area of one and a half hectares.
Chestnut, birch and rowan trees follow a layout that alternates the formal design with the informal one, creating a succession of sequences that lead to the discovery of the park. Inside the forest, which extends on the slopes of the mountain behind the villa, there are small clearings and large sunny meadows, narrow prospective avenues and geometric groups of trees with ornamental flowering. Scattered around, stone installations underline from time to time the regular design or the natural environment, where the stone, combined in different shapes and finishes, becomes a furnishing object, an opportunity to rest, or, according to traditional use, limit and border of the garden.
