A scenographic setup for Boffi

“The green room” was set up, with the support of Fratelli Ingegnoli, as part of the ROOMS, PLACES OF LIVING event, curated by Paola Barzanò, in November 2013. The Boffi Solferino Showroom, for one evening, was transformed in a house, in a welcoming refuge, in a succession of real, virtual or imaginary rooms.

Through an emotional and sensorial journey through design, flavours, scents, music and stories, the various rooms are each organized according to a theme that represents the different places of living. Every room must become a place of feeling, of doing, of desires, of dreams.

Following this indication, the installation project transforms a bathroom into a real ‘green room’: the bathroom is transformed into a tropical greenhouse, where taking care of oneself is enriched by the warmth and all those sensations that a jungle of plants is able to stimulate. Plants with large and waxy foliage, or light and jagged ones, invade every available space, and trunks with a mysterious and fantastic appearance rise from a carpet of flowers with a strong and decisive design. The bathroom space becomes a fairytale room, a dream place.
